The Rock of all ages is the Lord God Almighty. The Psalmist declared: “The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.” (Psalm 18:2, KJV). I couldn’t agree more with David. The Lord is all those things and more in my house. God Almighty is…“The Rock.”

We are called to build our spiritual house, our soul and spirit which dwells within our living house of flesh, upon the Rock. To build our house anyplace else is to build it upon the sand. The Lord, speaking from His holy Temple in the flesh and blood body of Jesus, made it clear how important it is to build our spiritual house upon the Rock:

“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.” (Matthew 7:21-27, KJV).

To build our house upon the sand is to put our trust in some religious philosophy. To build our house upon the Rock begins by believing that our heavenly Father loved this world so much, that He was willing to give His one and only Son to be born of a woman, Jesus, to be a living sacrifice to atone for the sins of all mankind. For all that believe.

Start building your house by giving your heart and soul to Jesus, so that Jesus can baptize your soul into the living water (spiritual energy) that proceeds from our Father’s Holy Ghost, and give you the Spirit of fire in His Bride, Christ the Holy Spirit. The Spirit that helped me to build my house upon the Rock.

The Spirit revealed while I was in the midst of thinking about calling my next short story The Rock:

“If you build your house upon the Rock, it will stand. But if you build it upon the sand, vain philosophy, such as that, it will fall. The Rock of all ages is the Lord God Almighty. There are no angels in heaven greater than Him. David recognized and understood that the Great I Am is that Rock. So build your house upon the Rock. Even Hannah who gave her son Samuel to the Lord to replace Eli, understood that the Lord is the Rock: ‘There is none holy as the Lord: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.’ (1 Samuel 2:2, KJV).”

Continuing where I left off from this message I managed to record on my iPhone recorder as it was revealed to me by the Spirit:

“When the storms of life come against your house, Robert, you are a living witness, your house will stand. For you have built your house upon the Rock. Your Daddy the King, the Great I Am, is that Rock. You are blessed of the Lord, because you have faith. You believe My heavenly Father, your Grandfather who art in heaven, is greater than the Rock. For He created the Rock.

“But the Rock is that holy Vine whom Big Poppa allowed to lay down His life in heaven with the Father,” the Spirit continued explaining, “and to pick it up here in the land of the living, to walk as One with His Father’s only begotten Son to be born of a woman. God was that great, great, great Vine, and Jesus was that holy Branch that was grafted into the Vine, when He went to the Jordan River to be baptized by John. But the Rock of all ages is the Lord God Almighty,” revealed the Spirit.

The Rock spoke these words from His holy Temple some 2,000 years ago:

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30, KJV).

I am a living witness, that to be yoked to God by His Spirit is an awesome thing. And what I perceived initially to be a burden to be called as His servant to come called Elijah, I now realize is a blessing, for now I understand that God is my burden bearer. And I am so glad that I have built my house upon… “The Rock.”
